Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 40g granulated sugar
- 75g brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1tsp vanilla essence
- 100g plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 100g chocolate
- Preheat the oven.
- Mix the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Mix the egg and vanilla essence.
- Mix the two mixtures together lightly.
- Sift together the flour, soda and salt.
- Mix the two mixtures again.
- If using chocolate pieces, cut it up into small bits.
- Stir in in the chocolate.
- Grease a baking tray
- Add heaped teaspoons with good spacing.
- Bake at 180°C for around 15 minutes.
